Season 2 of Star Trek : Discovery will arrive in 2019.
This is the sixth series from the universe worship created by Gene Roddenberry after Star Trek the original, The New Generation, Deep Space Nine, Voyager, and Enterprise – not to mention the rebirth of the saga in film for 2009 with J. J. Abrams. And this is one of the good surprises recent Star Trek : Discovery, created by Bryan Fuller and Alex Kurtzman (producer and writer of two films by Abrams), is worn by beautiful ambitions, artistic direction often exciting, and the characters solid.
Comic-Con was the opportunity for the series to unveil a first trailer of season 2. And sell a show even more epic.
Season 2 of Star Trek : Discovery is going to plunge for good in the mythology of cult, because at the end of the first season, the crew crossed the road of the Company, the ship mythical of the original series, with the famous captain Pike aboard.
Christopher Pike was the captain in the pilot of the original series before the arrival of the quintessential James T. Kirk. The new series will drop down ten years before the premiere, the writers have a nice playground in front of them.
Sonequa Martin-Green and Doug Jones are leading to new dance, while Anson Mount (The Inhumans) will be Pike, and will upset the established order. Note the arrival of a new alien look very intriguing, reminiscent of the quality of the make-up in the series, and the casting of Rebecca Romijn (X-Men, Femme fatale), which will return to a well-known role of fans : Number One.
Dissemination planned for early 2019.
