Altered Carbon we had done wickedly in the eye in the beginning of the year when it was announced on Netflix. And then, as we have seen, and we said that we didn’t care when even a little of our mouth. Even if, of course, all of this is subjective.

However, Netflix seemed to have put the package to adapt the novels of Richard K. Morgan and the promise was good : a cross between Blade Runner, Ghost in the shell, with a whole bunch of concepts super interesting, in short, the series had everything to please us, we thought that it was made just for us. That is to say, the disappointment that was ours when we saw the finished product.

Joel Kinnaman has a rude awakening

We are not going to return to it in detail, we had dedicated a very complete article in the times on the subject, so we invite you to read it. In spite of the notes below of what Netflix had hoped, the series has had some success and we wondered why the network announced it was not the start of season 2. Joel Kinnaman, the hero of season 1 had, moreover, thrown a little disorder shortly after the broadcast of the series by advancing the idea that he would not return, maybe not.

Anthony Mackie, ready for the turfu

A few months later, we finally know a little bit more, since the site’s Variety has just revealed that season 2 of’Altered Carbon had finally been commissioned by Netflix and that Laeta Kalogridis was the showrunneuse. And, yes, there will be a difference in size since the hero will no longer be Joel Kinnaman but Anthony Mackie, the Falcon of the Avengers.

A change of head to be fully justified by the very nature of the scenario, since Altered Carbon do we talk of human minds from one body to another. It is almost everything that we know about this season 2 for the moment, not casting a complementary, no release date set, but we really hope that all this beautiful team will finally get out the fingers to give us a series worthy of its premise. Because there is clearly what to do.
