While she no longer gave too much sign of life since some time now, series from the director of Sixth sense emerges from between the blades.

Brief reminder for those, and those, who have forgotten. In February 2018, M. Night Shyamalan has announced that it is to be engaged with Apple for a series of 10 episodes which he will make the driver (as Wayward Pines). No title or synopsis have been released, however it was said that the show would be a “psychological thriller” with episodes of thirty minutes.

The filmmaker behind Signs and The Village would also be alongside the other producers Ashwin Rajan (Split), Jason Blumenthal (Seven lives), Todd Black (Fences) and Steve Tisch (Forrest Gump). Side scenario, the script would fall in the hands of Tony Basgallop, known for 24 : Legacy and Hotel Babylon.

“And then, voila, a new project”

And then in the meantime, the director is focused on his other project, Glass, the sequel to’Unbreakable released in 2000 and Split in 2016. Today, the site Deadline is reporting interesting news, since the two actresses have just been officially castées for the series Apple’s : Lauren Ambrose (Six Feet Under) and Nell Tiger Free (Game of Thrones).

At the same time, Deadline reveals a few more details on the plot :

“The series would follow in the footsteps of a young couple, Dorothy (Lauren Ambrose) and Sean Turner, who recently hired a nanny, by the name of Leanne Grayson (Nell Tiger Free) in order to help them to look after their new-born.”

Apple is playing big, trying to interfere between the giants Amazon and Netflix (or even the growing Hulu). In the same way that Disney, the company of apple also wants to create its own content streaming. With a fish like M. Night Shyamalan in his nets, Apple could make a nice entry. It should also be noted that the company has signed for a series of, and with, Reese, Witherspoon, a comedy from Kristen Wiig, a drama signed Damien Chazelle, a space opera of Ronald D. Moore as well as a reboot of the fantastic Stories.
