Arrow Season 5: Three reasons that season 6 will be the last!
While Arrow’s season 5 continues to be in full swing on the CW, will the next season be the latest in the series? Here are three reasons that prove it!
Is the end soon for Green Arrow? And yes the meltynauts, although the CW’s flagship series has just been renewed for a new season, it is difficult not to question its long-term future. Indeed, the more time passes, the more the audience seems tired of the adventures of this hero with the tortured character. The criticism continues to rain and the recent death of Black Canary, emblematic figure of the comics, did nothing . While Melty’s editor suggested that you discover our review of Arrow 13’s Season 5 episode 13 , here are three reasons why Season 6 of the show will probably be the last:
Hearings are in free fall
If Arrow has long been a leader on the channel, offering a historic launch record to the American network, this time is now over. Indeed, the series turns pale face to The Flash which gathers almost 4 million viewers when Arrow hardly reaches the score of 1.6 million . Last but not least, the series is no longer able to stand out against the other DC Comics series that maintain the course well. Worse, bad audiences tend to discourage sponsors who prefer to invest in more profitable shows. And without them, Arrow’s budget is reduced and must sometimes adapt to the detriment of quality.
The new direction of the series
In the eyes of the majority of fans, the first two seasons were beautifully orchestrated. But since the arrival of The Flash and other human meta, Arrow has changed course to embrace a world filled with magical powers. Unfortunately, Green Arrow, as formidable as it may be, does not spark against a man as fast as lightning or a ship capable of traveling in time . By surfing on the success of other DC Comics series, the show lost some of its identity. Stephen Amell recently said: “I felt a change in the second half of season 4. I felt we had lost a few essential elements along the way.”
Actors and writers seem tired
Even if they all celebrated the renewal of the series as it should be, it must be confessed that the actors seem somewhat tired. This year, Willa Holland has only signed for fourteen episodes considerably reducing his appearances on the set while others, like Stephen Amell, seem to want to sail to new horizons. Will they be ready for a seventh season? Nothing is less sure. Especially since it would be very surprising if the series could continue without its star. Fortunately, all hope is not lost and the disappearance of flashbacks will perhaps offer us a welcome renewal .
