Game of Thrones Season 7: What is the ultimate goal of the White Walkers and the Night King?

The White Walkers arrive in season 7 of Game of Thrones but apart from invading Westeros, what is really their motivation?
July 16 is always further and melty continues to help you to wait until then with more and more speculation. While we wondered recently if Hodor was going to return to Game of Thrones Season 7 – unlikely – it’s now the White Walkers, or the White Walkers, that we’re going to be interested in. We saw in previous seasons but especially in season 6 that the army of undead ice led by the Night King are at the gates of Westeros and that their last biggest obstacle is the Wall. Their goal seems quite obvious: to invade Westeros and kill the living to join their ranks. But why ? Although things have changed, their goal could be the same: to take land back into the hands of humans to occupy them. But strangely, we can not see the zombies of ice settle somewhere to make their life there.
We do not know what they do when they are not threateningly walking on epic music or attacking humans. For some, the White Walkers could have a very specific goal in the history of Game of Thrones : to represent the counter power of Daenerys Targaryen. The Mother of the Dragons possesses magical creatures that can cause a lot of damage and her family origins obviously raise questions about her mental health. Net surfers have therefore liked to imagine that Daenerys is in fact the bad guy of history and that the White Walkers are there, finally, to protect humanity from his dream of vengeance and destruction to take back the Iron Throne .
So it may be that the answer is simple and that it is not Daenerys who is there to sow chaos and devastation, but the White Walkers. David Benioff and Dan Weiss have already stressed in an interview that White Walkers are “the incarnation of death, coming for everyone and for everything . ” They also said that we would never hear the Night King speak, so it is better not to expect explanations from him . Not knowing in any case whether the White Walkers are conscious beings or follow the directions of the Night King without any free will, it is difficult to know what might motivate them other than the obvious reason: Is not them. So we could only have an answer if they win the war against Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen and others – even if we hope our heroes will win.
