Sony Xperia XZ Premium: We tested the headset that is offered if you pre-order the smartphone
While the Xperia XZ Premium is fast approaching, the Sony Xperia XZ Premium has it all. If you pre-order it, you will even receive a Sony h.ear On Wireless headset that is also called MDR-100ABN. We tested it at the editorial, here is our verdict!
Announced as the perfect successor to the Xperia Z5 Premium, the Xperia XZ Premium is the first smartphone equipped with a 4K HDR display. With this new high-end camera, Sony is progressing enormously in the photo according to our first pictures . And as the Japanese giant decided not to do things by half, it offers you squarely its h.ear On Wireless headset that is also known as MDR-100ABN, in case of pre-order of the Sony Xperia XZ Premium. In the editorial, we had the opportunity to test this helmet and here are our impressions!
Aesthetically, the Sony MDR-100ABN takes over the codes of its senior, the MDR-100A. Its plastic shell is both sturdy and well finished. Sony offers us a product with a clean, modern and rather discreet design . But the last criterion is not necessarily valid for the lime helmet that has been tested. Beyond the color, the helmet is supple and easily forgotten on the ears. As for ergonomics, the headset – which you can have free of charge by pre-ordering now the Sony Xperia XZ Premium (offer valid until June 8) – can withstand a few twists. But if you want to preserve it, you can fold its ear cups inward and store it in its protective cover.
Unlike the MDR-100A, the MDR-100ABN is wireless with noise reduction in addition . But after listening to some rap sounds fr, I quickly realized that noise reduction was not the strong point of the Japanese helmet. To obtain excellent audio performance, it is even better to disable this noise reduction. But overall, Sony’s headset sends heavy and can allow you to forget the noise of the subway when you travel. But in my eyes, it is autonomy that will put everyone in agreement.
Equipped with a battery that offers a range of 30 hours, the Sony MDR-100ABN headphones tutoie perfection at this level. And the icing on the cake, this headset goes into standby as soon as it is no longer used. This is a detail probably for you but, this is very important for the autonomy of the helmet. And if the headset’s battery is discharged , Sony even offers us the option of using it as a wired with a mini-jack cable that comes with the product . So you understood. This headset will make your ears happy, if you pre-order the Xperia XZ Premium here before June 8th . And it would be stupid to miss out on this since the new smartphone from Sony will not be sold with headphones on its release … So, what are you waiting for?
