The casting
Yes, the cast of Missions is bold and the first reason to watch the series. You will not find any of the world famous stars yet, the actors are real talents who play complex characters with great accuracy . It must be said that the cast members already have a job behind them whether in theater, on television or in cinema. Moreover, the casting of Missions is international, which is a real strength of the series because this cultural mix brings much more credibility to the show.
A bold series
Like its casting, the series is bold and it works very well. The SF is not really represented in France and Missions distinguishes itself by proving that the French can tackle this genre which can sometimes be frightening. The series is especially a great adventure, the journey of men and women who find themselves managing a strange and complex situation. Missions is not pure and hard science fiction but a mix of SF, adventure, drama that also adds a few humorous points , while maintaining a very good balance and remaining ultimately realistic.
A captivating show
Since the first episode, we are immediately fascinated by Missions because the series is particularly intriguing, mysterious and above all very surprising. Each episode ends on a kind of cliffhanger that makes us want to binge-watcher the series in one evening. The rhythm of the show is very sustained and keeps us in suspense for 22 minutes with each episode. Beyond the mysteries that the crew and viewers will have to try to solve, the series also poses deeper questions about humanity, the whole universe or living together. The good news is that season 2 is already scheduled!
