Robert Patrick will be there also back in the new season of the X-Files ?

After a season 10 too short and who has not convinced all the world, X-Files is getting ready for its big return, knowing very well that, this time, she will not be entitled to the error.

It is true that 6 episodes was far too little to resurrect an institution of worship that‘X-Files, a rich background huge, with lots of characters. And if we can admit that season 10 was generally well-output, without, however, being unavoidable, the series of Chris Carter will soon return with the firm intention to transform the test.

As we have seen, in the previous season, several iconic characters had their right to their cameo, but one of them was sorely lacking, the agent John Doggett, played by Robert Patrick. Appeared in season 8, he had to replace David Duchovny, who was getting pretty damn fed up with the Agent Reyes, here to supplant Scully, while reversing the roles (he was skeptical). A graft that has not necessarily taken as the team wanted, proving that the series could never happen to Mulder and Scully. That said, the character was interesting and had managed, with great difficulty of course, find its place in this universe.

Then a few months separate us from the 11 season, we can safely ask us if Robert Patrick will be back to make us a small cuckoo in the remembrance of the good old days. And what better to know than to go and ask Chris Carter what he thinks ? This is exactly what has made the site TV Line, and, as usual, the showrunner has responded by shuffling a few cards on the way :

“In fact, I did appear in one episode and then I learned that Robert would not be available because it is already committed to the series Scorpion. So I had to remove it from the episode because Scorpion is his priority.”

One might say that the case is bent, you can brush to review Agent Doggett, but Chris Carter decided to make his Chris Carter :

“This does not mean that you will not see this in the new season.”

It must, therefore, be expected that Doggett is at least mentioned in a dialogue, or that we see a picture of him, or even a flashback. That said, if it is well done, this is no problem for us, even if, obviously, one would prefer to see in flesh and bone. But hey, you know what they say eh, the truth is elsewhere.
