Hat melon and boots of leather : soon a reboot by Shane Black ?

Screenwriter hollywood legendary and director emeritus, Shane Black is currently working on a project which was not expected.

In fact, the screenwriter Fred Dekker was freshly interviewed by The Dark Side Magazine, who asked him on what this collaborator Shane Black was working on at the moment. And his answer was not made to wait, as tempting as it is surprising.

“That is Hat melon and boots of leather, with John Steed and Emma Peel. One locates the action in the England of the 60s, and our approach, it is the encounter between Immediate Danger and Doctor Who. For the moment, it is the project on which you are working that I prefer. “

So far, Shane Black has always been a creator of forms – he was responsible for the crystallization of the Buddy Movie in the 80’s – the guy also knows how to handle the figures of the pop culture, as evidenced in Iron Man 3 or (hopefully) The Predator.

This new version of Hat Melon and Boots of Leather would be a series, for the account of Warner, and Shane Black is currently working on the pilot. If very frankly, we don’t fiercely need a reboot of the cult series, one really wonders how the director and screenwriter revisiterait the show.
