The police of the county of Marshalltown has taken seriously the flight and immediately issued a message to that effect on his page Facebook. To the surprise of Mr. Salasek who owned this replica for the past 13 years, it was recovered less than two days later. Citizens who saw the alert on Facebook have remained on the lookout and have reported to have seen it circulate in the streets of the city.
Something was wrong however… It was now matte black! Without doubt in order to go unnoticed – how do you want to go incognito with such a car? – it was repainted. As you can see in the reportage of tv channel KCCI 8 News Des Moines below, the thief was visibly devoid of talent in the painting of automobile.
Yellow in colour, the car could not have been more clairvoyant. In addition, it is a model exceedingly rare. The police said that it was the only replica of a Ford GT40 in the county.
