To compare a woman to a used car, this is not a good idea.

In China, an advert from Audi promoting their used vehicles has suffered a storm of criticism this week.

In the announcement of a thirty seconds, we can see a couple about to get married. Then, just before the kiss official, the mother of the groom interrupts the ceremonies, and walks up to the bride to “inspect it”, a bit like you would with a used car.

“An important decision must be taken with caution”, can we then read, with a nice picture of Audi used in the background.

As you can imagine, the publicity was not very well received. Many consumers have not bothered to complain about the situation on social networks, forcing even Audi to remove the ad. But as the web has a long memory, you can still easily find it online:

In an interview with the South China Morning Post, a spokesperson from Audi said that an internal investigation is underway and that this advertising campaign was the responsibility of the local partners is chinese, and non of the Audi group in the world.
