Cinema 25 July, 2017

Small recap ‘of ALL that was said and shown during the presentation Marvel Studios at Comic Con!

After the presentation of DC Comics, it is the turn of Marvel with Paul Rudd and Michael Pena to open the hostilities with a small recap of the MCU, to heat the room. After several small jokes, we learn that it is Michelle Pfeiffer (Catwoman in Batman: The Challenge) who will embody Janet Van Dyne in the MCU, before revealing a lot of concept arts of the film. Not a lot of casting announcements for Ant-Man and the Wasp, but no time to think about it, because we are direct with Captain Marvel and there’s a lot to say! The film will be in the 90s and Nick Fury will still have both eyes! The enemies of the film will be the Skrulls, an alien race emblematic of the universe Marvel.

We go direct with Thor Ragnarok and ALL the casting of the film arrives on stage accompanied by the director. After a lot of discussions, the public entitled to some footage of the film, then to the epic trailer of Thor Ragnarok that we could see. It is then the turn of the cast of Black Panther to arrive on stage to tell us that the film happens directly after Civil War and that T’Challa is still mourning. Each actor will explain in a sentence his role before we show the public some excerpts of the film, which will unfortunately not be available on the net for us. One finds T’challa in a casino accompanied by his close guard and a fight breaks out against Klaw, now armed with a highly technological arm, and his men. The second scene is a chase run and the opportunity to see T’Challa put on his armor and makes one think of Iron Man, the pieces coming to attach him to him one by one. The panel will end with the same Avengers trailer that was unveiled at the D23 last week and that Marvel does not seem determined to post online. : ‘(
