Beauty and the Beast: What do the first critics say?

Cinema 10 March, 2017

At two weeks of its release in our dark rooms, the first criticisms of La Belle et la Bete are released. So, is it as magical as it looks?
In a little more than two weeks, on March 22 exactly, the eternal story of La Belle et la Bête will resume on our big screens, directly adapted by the Disney studios in live-action. As much as to say that to melty, as fans of the first hour, we expect it impatiently, especially that of what we saw for the moment, in the trailer or the various excerpts of the Film , it seems more magical than ever! But what is really happening? The first criticisms started to come out and that we reassure, it is rather positive! Like the journalists of Cinemablend , who have obviously all been conquered, promising in particular that “the fans of Disney will adore Beauty and the Beast. A super-loyal adaptation, And visually magnificent. The real magic, however, rests on the depth they have added and that makes it unique . ” At Variety , they found it “touching and splendid” . At Entertainment’s Weekly , the view is rather mixed, describing the film as “good and fun and cute and lush and some of the songs are contagious” , but they do not really understand why the movie exists and why “they did not Could do more “.
And if Emma Watson seemed made for the role of Belle, it is Luke Evans and Josh Gad who win all the votes. “Luke Evans is incredibly good in the role of Gaston, and Josh Gad is absolutely hilarious, and appears to be the best adaptation of the animated version in live-action” , written especially Matt Goldberg Collider . In France, however, opinions are more mixed. For IGN , for example, where the animated film had managed to escape the mish-ty, “the live adaptation sometimes makes a little too much” , before adding that La Belle et la Bête remains “a pretty musical tale Worn by a sublime Emma Watson and songs that always do their thing ” . Good, It’s still pretty positive overall, but obviously everyone will be his opinion when it comes out to the cinema on March 22 next. But one thing is for sure, Beauty and the Beast should meet the expected success!
