Captain Marvel: The movie will take place in the past

Cinema 25 July, 2017

The episode Captain Marvel was very short but we learned a lot about the film.

Directly after the casting announcement for Ant-Man and the Wasp, we chained up with Captain Marvel, a film very expected but still in an advanced stage of production. That did not prevent Marvel from telling us that the film would take place in the 90s and it goes completely against the current of a lot of rumors about the film. The nod that was thought to have had to Captain Marvel in Doctor Strange also becomes canceled by this announcement.

We also learn that Nick Fury, present in Captain Marvel, will still have both eyes and his loss should surely be related to the plot of the film. But the most important revelation is that the enemies of the film will be the Skrulls, an extraterrestrial race emblematic of the universe Marvel, but whose rights belong to the 20th Century Fox via the Fantastic Four. One can therefore assume that negotiations have taken place between the two studios, despite what Kevin Feige has denied several times in recent months during interviews.
