The Lévis Karine Trondeau would have been a victim of leukemia jumping in full cruise in the Caribbean with her husband, their two children and friends. The mother of a family, 37-year-old has never woken up on the morning of 6 march.

His colleagues are still in shock. Karine Trondeau was a pharmacist and owned with her husband, two pharmacies in the region of Bellechasse, in Chaudière-Appalaches.

“We were sad since we know. We think the family a lot,” said Friday, Louise Bérubé, the manager of one of the two pharmacies.

“It was our boss and she was extremely professional, with the joy of life, beloved of all the world,” added the employee.

An autopsy was conducted on the island of St. Kitts, and it was done in rudimentary conditions, according to his spouse.

She had some flu-like symptoms on the boat, nausea, but other passengers had also some discomfort.

    The sudden death raises questions.

“This is atypical, said Dr. Christian Fortin. It could be acute myeloid leukemia. But the symptoms are often present: weight loss, fatigue, easy bruising.”

The young woman had health problems in the past, but no diagnosis of leukemia. She was suffering from rheumatoid arthritis.

She had even done a blood test before the trip and everything was normal.

“In a basic test, we can see normally,” added the family physician.

It remains very unclear to the family, despite the autopsy.

We would have appreciated a different expertise, but his spouse had to bring back the ashes in Quebec. The funeral takes place this Saturday.
