Despite the expectations of fans, Netflix cancels the series Daredevil

It is a rather complicated period for Netflix mine nothing and nobody seems to realize it. While Disney withdraws gradually its marbles, and that Warner will surely do the same thing, the network seems condemned to not having to count only on itself.

When Netflix has cancelled the series Iron Fist, it has neither hot nor cold. The final product is so side of the plate, it was even said that it was him to make service somewhere. When it was the turn of Luke Cage, there, already, it started to sting. If the series was far from perfect, it proposed, however, most of the qualities of his little sister. And all of a sudden, a wave of anxiety began to submerge us about the other productions of Marvel on Netflix.

Daredevil

What about Jessica Jones ? What about the Punisher ? And especially what about Daredevil ? The flagship series of this collection has recently unveiled a third season a little more mixed than the previous , but this has still proved the attachment of the audience to these characters in spite of lower audiences. There is not so long ago, the showrunner had an appointment at Netflix to pitch a possible season 4. Even more recently, fans have begun to organize a movement for new episodes to be produced. Unfortunately, this will not happen.

We come to learn through Netflix itself that Daredevil will not be renewed for a season 4. The reason is simple even if never clearly displayed : the network that prepares Disney to 2019 and which should be one of its main competitors. A new terrible to the fans of the series that Netflix has tried to caress in the direction of the hair in the press release announcing the suspension :

“Daredevil will not return for season 4 on Netflix. We are very proud of what has been accomplished during the final season and, although this is difficult for fans, we believe that it is better to conclude the series at its peak. We thank our partners, Marvel, the showrunner Erik Oleson, the writers, the crew, the cast and the amazing Charlie Cox in particular. As we would like to thank the fans who have supported us over these last few years. If the series is complete on Netflix, all three seasons will remain available for years to come, while Daredevil will return in the future plans of Marvel.”

We could not be more clear but not completely display. Then to say that it smells like serious pie for the two series that remain, there is not one that we do not hesitate to cross for the shot.
