After three exceptional years but the hearings disappointing, Starz has put an end to his series Ash vs Evil Dead. But the saga is far from over.

Guest of Motor City Comic-Con Robert Tapert is income during a session of questions and answers on the fate of Ash vs Evil Dead, recently cancelled by Starz.

“Launching us into the third season, we knew that it was possible to be cancelled. The hearings had already begun to decline, and there was not much that we can do against that. Starz has been a good partner. It snous with little left to do everything that we wanted. This was simply not probably not the most appropriate medium…

But they have waited until late in the scores of the third season. We sold the rights for the first two seasons to Netflix, but Starz is not going to let a competitor get their hands on something that belongs to them… which I can understand. This is unfortunate. “

More interesting, the historic producer of the saga of the Evil Dead has confirmed that a new movie had been in the study. And if Bruce Campbell, who surely must need to get away from the character of Ash, made known his desire to end it all, it was a little hard to believe.

“We had a great idea on which direction to take in the future. This is what Sam Raimi has talked about : the relaunch of a full-length film project. And then, Bruce Campbell wrote to Sam one day ; to say ” If they do we renew not, I will be retiring from the role of Ash “.

And we told him : “But wait Bruce, what do you think of a movie ? “But he replied that no, he would retire. Well, we’ll see. “
