All in all, life is not bad. But some times, it happens that it is, frankly, null and void. Such as when one of the best series in the world sees cancelled. And there, yeah, we said that in fact, life is really only a slice of shit and that, in the end, you will die.

And we do not hide from you that it was a bit our state of mind when, at the end of the broadcast of the splendid season 3 of’Ash vs. Evil Dead, it was learned, death in the soul, ay, it was finished. No rescue possible, must begin to think of living without. And then, bit by bit, we learned that Bruce Campbell was pulling his reverence of this universe. After more than 35 years of good and loyal services, it was stored permanently his chainsaw in the closet to take a well-deserved retirement. Sad time, you said.

The belle epoque…

And then, we have seen more and more reports of the actor regarding the future of the saga, then, that good, let’s be honest, no Ash, we did not see too how they were going to do to interest us. Campbell has said several times that it could continue without him, there was even talk of a sequel to the remake of 2013 and the actor would be the last time his voice for a future video game currently in development.

Interviewed by Entertainment Weekly recently, Bruce Campbell has once again decided to teaser like a big dirty by announcing that‘he was not at all against the return of Ash in the saga, as long as it doesn’t work :

“I have absolutely nothing against the fact that they find someone to play a young Ash, he has a new incarnation, as another poor guy ends up completely covered in blood. There is no concern.”

A perspective that is cold in the back, of course, but that could very well occur at term, although nothing is still, and happily, announced in this direction. But Campbell goes even further, because, for him, the Evil Dead may just as well become an expanded universe :

“I hope that there will be many other variations of the Evil Dead. You have all the other characters who remain in the series, as well as those of the remake that we did a few years ago. You can without problem connect these two worlds.”

Of course, this would be a good way to perpetuate the brand, to review Pablo, Kelly, and Mia we would, frankly, fun , but, let’s face it, it is still much too early for that we accept it. So, please, wait a little. Genre 10-15 years, ok ?
