Free legal aid for victims of crime

    A dozen lawyers from the legal clinic Juripop and social stakeholders will meet, Wednesday, to help volunteer for the victims of crime raised questions about the judicial process.

    “Since the movement #MoiAussi, we want to continue to do our part to inform victims of sexual assault and of any criminal act on their rights, their remedies and the judicial system. We are proud to be able to extend their hand again in the Month of justice,” said Sophie Gagnon, director of Juripop, in a press release.

    “The union between social workers and lawyers is done naturally. It offers advice tailored to the realities of the victims of harassment”, she added.

    The legal clinic and social will be held from 13 h to 21 h at the Centre d’aide aux victimes d’actes criminels (CAVAC) de Montréal, located at 6472 boulevard Saint-Laurent.

    On-site, lawyers and stakeholders psyochosociaux will bring to the victims a full support, free and confidential.
