Steven Soderbergh does not make any episode of Godless but has surely left his imprint on the final result.

Calendar Netflix to the end of the year promises to be extremely busy. After the arrival of the incredible Mindhunter on the 13th of October last, many other series will come back : Haters Back Off on 20 October, the Stranger Things on 27 October, The Crown in December… not to mention the possible returns surprises (The OA, Black Mirror).

And then there will be mostly new shows that we looked forward to : The Punisher (November ?) but also Godless, the mini-series produced by Steven Soderbergh on 22 November next. Netflix has just come to swing in the first trailer.

Godless follows Frank Griffin (Jeff Daniels, bearded), an outlaw terrorizing the American West in the 1880s, and the continuation of Roy Goode (Jack O’connell), his former partner became the enemy. While Roy hides in a ranch, Frank arrives at The Beautiful, New Mexico – a mysterious city made up exclusively of women.

Whether to wait before Westworld on HBO, to address the lack of Deadwood , or find the leg of Soderbergh (even if it is only producer) on the small screen after The Knick, the reasons are many to look at Godless. Written and directed by Scott Frank, screenwriter of Minority Report and Logan or a director of a Walk among the tombs, the mini-series of six episodes will be available in full on Netflix on the 22nd November next.
