Golden Globes : American Crime Story takes the head in front of The Americans and Barry, absence of Maniac, and Hill House

The season of ceremonies of awards fall into the heart of the matter. Has a month of the ceremony, the Golden Globes have announced the named in the categories of the series (the movie theater is right here).

On the side of the drama, the winner of Golden Globes for best series will be unpublished. In fact, four of the five series are named the new series : Poses, Killing Eve, Bodyguard and Homecoming. Only The Americans opened the doors of its fifth and final season this year, but had never known of appointments not previously in this class. The fight promises to be so tight but that it would take well a part on the series of espionage that is carried by the duo Keri Russell, Matthew Rhys, since it draws its reverence of the screens.

In women, Keri Russel is so favorite also depending on us even if Julia Roberts for Homecoming, Sandra Oh for Killing Eve and Elisabeth Moss for The Handmaid”s Tale (title holder) also have all their chances. On the men’s side, the winner of the trophy will be necessarily unique between Jason Bateman (Ozark), Stephan James (Homecoming), Billy Porter (Poses), Richard Madden (Bodyguard) or Matthew Rhys, of course.

Among the comedies, only The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel has held the bar this year, and will try to retain its title as best comedy series. It will even cope with the excellent series HBO Barry, but also Kidding, The Good Place and The Kominsky Method.

Among men, the race promises to be super tight between Bill Hader of Barry, Jim Carrey for Kidding, Michael Douglas for The Kominsky Method and Sacha Baron Cohen in his delusional Who Is America ?. The favorite, however, remains Donald Glover to Atlanta. In women, it is difficult to see who could come dethrone Rachel Brosnahan in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel unless Kristen Bell to The Good Place or Alison Brie for GLOW create the surprise.

Finally, after its success at the Emmys, American Crime Story : the Assassination of Gianni Versace seems to be the big favorite in the category for best mini-series and/or films for television and best actor in the same category with the amazing Darren Criss.

In the women’s race, however, looks more open between Amy Adams from Sharp Objects and Regina King for Seven Seconds. Has, unless it is finally Patricia Arquette to Escape at Dannemora or Laura Dern in The Tale that come to play disorders feasts.

Note the absence incomprehensible Maniac among the nominees or even The Haunting of Hill House. The two series Netflix have been unfairly shunned by the committee at the Golden Globes, so it is without any doubt two of the best series of the year. The absence was noticed of The Deuce in the categories of drama seems to be both illogical.
