In life, and Hollywood in particular, things are and remake. And it was only a matter of time before the Lord of The Rings is to do a reboot of cum. And the fact that you do not agree, will change nothing.

It is, therefore, beginning last November, we learned the terrible news, Amazon would develop a tv series adapted from the Lord of the Rings, with a will first the ambition to make his ‘Game of Thrones’, which is not bad in the sense when you think about it two seconds. Immediately, the fans of the trilogy of Peter Jackson have grabbed pitchforks and torches and are a little lost in the way when the chain has unveiled that, in fact, the series would not adapt literally to the saga of J. R. R. Tolkien.

“Hide you, master Frodo. A remake is on the horizon…”

In fact, the first season of the show should take place at a period anterior to the fellowship of The Ring and even before the Hobbit, which excludes direct simple remake of Peter Jackson’s movies and is a good way not to get grilling with the fans right from the start. This prequel has not yet official date of circulation, or production, for the moment we are in the fog, the more total.

But there is one that does not lose the north and it is Ian McKellen. Our Gandalf favorite has been invited not later than a few days ago the Graham Norton Show on the BBC (a program that you highly recommend by the way) and was asked THE question that upset : What does he think of the prospect of a new Gandalf will soon be added to its appearance ? The answer was as direct as definitive :

“No prequel has ventured further than here for the Hobbit…”

“That is what you mean by ‘another Gandalf’ ? I did not say that I will do [the series] because that was the only thing I was not proposed. But are you trying to insinuate that someone else could interpret it ? Gandalf is over 7000 years old, so I’m still not too old.”

An answer in the second degree, obviously, but that goes to show how the comedian 78-year-old is attached to his character. And if there is little chance that it is found in the Gandalf one day, this would be a great idea to use it in the series for the role. A way to make it timeless.

And besides, you’d see that you in new Gandalf ?

Yeeeeeaaaaaaaah !!!!
