Among the dozens of launches honor this year at the auto Show of Montreal, there are two of them in a Jeep which would likely attract particular attention.

Renewed from A to Z for 2018, the iconic Wrangler is at a first appearance in a canadian show in Montreal. Same thing for the Jeep Cherokee 2019, which was unveiled in a world premiere there a few days ago at the Salon of Detroit.

The Wrangler remains true to himself

The Jeep Wrangler is part of this handful of vehicles whose scope goes well beyond the automotive world. Direct descendant of the Willys, military vehicle that helped the american Forces win the Second world War, the Wrangler still offers today a design that is overly similar to that of its ancestor.

Designed and built to excel off the beaten path, this Wrangler new generation is no exception to the rule. Its design remains faithful to its history, and it is so much better that way.

Under a design almost identical to that of the old generation, the Jeep Wrangler is no compromise. It is still a machine for driving off-road, built first and foremost to cross any trail.

Except that, in addition to that, the Wrangler is now much more liveable on a daily basis via the adoption of a multitude of improvements that make it surprisingly civilized.

Inside, Jeep says hello to the Twenty-first century by getting rid of the indicators antiquated which still held on to the dashboard of the Wrangler. It now offers the latest generation of the mylink infotainment system UConnect with a touch screen which can go from 5 to 8.4 inches, depending on the version chosen.

Under the hood, the Wrangler retains the V6 engine, the Pentastar 3.6-litre. It is able to improve its fuel consumption by approximately 10%, courtesy of a loss of weight and a new automatic transmission in eight reports.

The V6 has now been added to a new engine four-cylinder 2.0-litre turbocharged engine that will be offered as an option, paired with the automatic transmission. Then, for 2019, Jeep will also be a diesel engine of 3.0 liters to its iconic 4×4.

A new to come to a boil for the Jeep Cherokee

Unveiled to the world there a few days ago at the opening of the auto Show in Detroit, the Jeep Cherokee 2019 is also a first appearance by a canadian in Montreal.

Best seller for Jeep in Canada, the Cherokee will now take a front most muscular which has the air of family inevitable with the small Compass. Of course, it retains the seven vertical slits that make up the signature of all the products, Jeep for decades.

Jeep has also benefited from this slight update to rework the rear of the Cherokee. The positioning of the number plate is now higher and the lights have also been modified.
