Karl Urban would be indeed in negotiations to return in the series Judge Dredd

You have already said how much we loved the Dredd 2012 ? Yes ? Ben we are going to do it again because that one is always a little angry when one remembers that this excellent film has not the recognition it deserves.

And we welcome, moreover, once again the lack of bollocks distributors of the time who had not seen fit to release the film in French cinemas, forcing Dredd to a video output, which would take him straight into the bottom of the containers of our Leclerc. Well played guys. Ca to get out of the movies well nases and without any danger, there is in the world, but when it comes to pushing a project rather original and extremely effective, strangely, has more person.

Because yes, the opposite of the Judge Dredd of 1995, Dreddwas really successful. A small series (B well nervous and unpretentious and above all a hero, embodied by Karl Urban perfect, which removed its helm. In short, Dredd had all inclusive and it is even more infuriating to see in these conditions how much of it was sacrificed. That said, we’re not the only ones to be excited since the film is quickly formed a small cult that has worked in the shadows for years for that result to occur, motivated by Karl Urban who was very keen to find the costume of his character.

And so it is with enormous joy that we learned last may that Dredd will return in 2019, but in the tv series, under the title Judge Dredd : Mega City One. A series which would follow a squad of Judges through the sprawling city and of course our good old Dredd in the gondola head. The question that everyone was asking was whether Urban would. Him, he clearly wanted, but this is not sure since it depends on his schedule. And it falls rather well, that everyone asks the question, because suddenly, the actor felt compelled to respond at the latest Star Trek Las Vegas Convention last week :

“I am in full negotiations on this subject at this time. I told them that if they write a good story, Dredd has something to do there and that there is a real role, I will be there. I would very much like to do that.”

So it remains for us to cross your fingers, find the address of the writers, kidnap their kids and make them only in exchange of a great script. Déconnez not the guys !
