Thanks to his piece “ferro-fluids-flowers” from his most recent album, “The star in the chest”, Klo Pelgag is the new winner of the Prix de la chanson SOCAN, the francophone component.

She relishes his victory with Karl Gagnon, co-author of the text most popular with some 20 000 music lovers in June.

Accompanied by an award of 10 000 $, this gain allows him to be the successor to Laurence Nerbonne who has received the same honor last year for “summer Dreams”.

A native of Sainte-Anne-des-Monts, Klo Pelgag has received the prize of revelation of the year at the ADISQ Gala in 2014 and the prix André “Dédé” Fortin in 2016 – that she shared with Philippe Brach – in the Emerging category.

On the English side, the race was won by the punk-rock band PUP, for his song entitled “DVP”.
