The book of the author published in 1980 under the title Volcryn is an integral part of a set of new, all interconnected and which bears the name of The Universe of the Thousand Worlds. If you’re for aficionados of science-fiction, Nightflyers has already had a film adaptation in the form of a feature film in 1987 by Robert Collector. There is no doubt that if ever this new series of works with the spectators, there will be in the air a hint of a result, and other new connected to the Nightflyers.

In the meantime, this first trailer, balanced on the canvas on the occasion of the Comic-Con in San Diego to set the tone. Bloody, agonizing, claustrophobique and totally crazy, this behind-closed-doors distressing will be Gretchen Mol, Eoin Macken, David Ajala or Maya Eshet fight to survive… In the meantime, only one word order : not to trust anyone.

At the crossroads between Alien, the eighth passenger , and The Thing, although George R. R. Martin rather think of “a story of haunted house in a vessel, a Pyschose in space” Nightflyers focuses on nine scientific parties on the loose in a spaceship. Their goal is apparently to get in contact with a species of alien, the sole possessor of knowledge able to save Humanity from its extinction. While the astronauts are sinking a little more in the twilight icy cold to the space, a series of incidents mysterious will threaten their mission.

Sort of a psychological thriller co-created by Syfy and Netflix, Nightflyers has known a production complicated after the departure of its first showrunner Daniel Cerone, replaced by Jeff Buhler. So far, the project is taken in hand and the 10 episodes will be available sometime in 2019 on Netflix.
