Sergio Marchionne announced that Ferrari would not reach the ranks of Formula E. This is what he has learned on the site Motorsport.com.
This decision comes shortly after Porsche and Audi had decided, conversely, to dive head first into the world of the
Formula E.
The group CEO of the FCA, confirmed that the prancing horse brand does not follow the movement. It is assumed that it prefers to focus its efforts in Formula 1.
However, he was keen to mention that he was still participating in this series of races for electric cars through a other brand of the group, without specifying which.
Instinctively, it eliminates Dodge, Chrysler, Ram and Jeep. As to Alfa Romeo, Fiat and Maserati, the three would make excellent candidates.
