With all the series that run the big studios with super-heroes in it, one has still the impression that they always revolve around the pot. A series with mutants, but without the X-Men. A series in Gotham, but without Batman… that kind of things.

Then all of a sudden, it happens that, in these conditions, some take their dreams for reality. Especially in the case of series stamped CW, produced and distributed by Warner and more specifically, in the case of their crossovers each year. Indeed, and it has become a tradition today, once a year the hero of The Flash, Arrow and Supergirl get together for a great common adventure, which allows you to have a little fun with the concept.

Tyler Hoechlin, a very good Superman on tv

This year, the event will be called Elseworld and it will be the stepping stone to the future series Batwoman who begins to reveal more and more. But, according to some, the event was also to launch another series, much more ambitious, and desired by many : a series Superman. The site FandomWire has indeed done a few days ago that the crossover would allow Tyler Hoechlin to finally have his own series as Superman, given that he has already made multiple appearances in the series Supergirl.

Information quickly refuted by several sources, including the site Heroic Hollywood wanted to make things clear :

“No, Superman will not have the right to have its own tv series on the CW. The information FandomWire is inaccurate. It will appear well in the Arrowverse Elseworlrd but that is all. Don’t see an attempt to give him his own pilot.”

A correction quickly followed by a confirmation by Joshua Lapin-Bertone, contributor to the DC Universe well-known from the twittosphère :

“I checked my side, and my sources at Warner confirms that it’s not going to happen.”

So no series for Superman, but a series for Batwoman. Finally, if the returns on his character in the crossover are encouraging. Because nothing is ever sure in this business, especially on the side of Warner.
