The Association of electric vehicles (AVÉQ) has filed a petition to the national Assembly in order to add, in the shortest time possible, 2000 rapid charging. Everything has been done in collaboration with the mna Sylvain Gaudreault. Note that it has recently acquired a Chevrolet Bolt.

For Simon-Pierre Rioux, president of the AVÉQ, there is no doubt that the growth in the number of electric vehicles on Québec roads by adding mass rapid charging. In fact, it has been noted that the slowdown in the expansion of the network in the course of the last year causes significant consequences for the owners of electric vehicles. In this regard, it mentions that it is not uncommon to see queues around the rapid charging, which causes significant delays in travel.

In the eyes of Mr. Rioux, it is no doubt that to achieve the objectives of reduction of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions set by the provincial government in 2015, it will take the double duty. Recall that this plan was the decrease of 37.5 % of GHG emissions in 2030 with 1990 as the reference year. This plan also provided for the circulation of a million electric vehicles in 2030.
