It is before the end of the year that we will be able to discover The Punisher, the spin-off of Daredevil, of which much is expected.

Interviewed by Entertainment Weekly, the interpreter of Frank Castle, Jon Bernthal has said a little more about the content of the series. In fact, after several productions received relatively softly by the press and a fraction of the public, many hopes are placed in The Punisher.

Remains to be seen if Marvel and Netflix will provide a setting for the height of the character, among the most radical of their catalog. And according to the actor, the fans of this work is not like the others could well find their account.

Frank Castle looks in great shape

“The Frank Castle that you discovered in Daredevil is recovering from the trauma caused by the murder of his family, so the only thing he has in mind, it is this mission which is to kill all those in connection with the death of his family, and disposed of in the manner the most brutal, that is. Killing these people is the only way for him to find momentarily peace.

In the series, this is a new type which share in the crusade, and what Steve Lightfoot (the showrunner) is trying to do is to ask the question ” what do we do when it is finished ? “There is a dimension introspective, which allows you to try to resolve this. The character will find a reason to fight, something new in what to believe. “

And for that which is of darkness, fans will not have to fear a vision sanitized.

“It gets more and more dark and visceral as we advance. The show you to embark on the odyssey of Frank, so that it becomes more and more human before being stopped net and go back to what works for him, where he has found his place and I believe that it is a place of darkness and destruction. This will be that you will see more black and brutal in the Marvel universe, I can promise that. “
