Difficult to explain why, but sales of the Ford Flex are soaring this year.

Even if Ford has not touched for years, the Flex manages to seduce more and more Canadians, to the point where its sales are up 246% compared to last year. Yes, 246%!

In concrete figures, one speaks of 2173 units sold for the Flex in the first eight months of 2017. To give you an idea, we sold 2587 for the whole year of 2016. And already, it represented a significant improvement compared to the 1789 Flex that we had passed in 2015.

We would have been able to understand this sustained increase if Ford had revised the model or if it had decreased its price, but it is not. The Flex remains almost the same since its redesign in 2013. And even then, it was just changed a few aesthetic elements. In a nutshell, the Flex has changed very little since its arrival on the market in 2009.

The price of gasoline is down (it was, in any case) and SUVS are all the rage. Here is probably the two reasons that could explain the recent success of this vehicle rectangular.

Available from 30 376$, the Flex 2018 is offered in SE, SEL and Limited. It uses a V6 engine of 3.5 liters and an automatic transmission with six reports.
