If Stranger Things has entirely built its reputation thanks to its atmosphere and its sense of “madeleine de Proust”, it should not be forgotten that the series also contains a gallery of characters abounding and to the interest various and varied. A gallery which will grow with season 3.
Even if you love a lot Stranger Things, we must still recognize that we do not look at necessarily the series for its characters. Just as nice as they are, we cannot really speak of true exploration of the human psyche, personalities, complex and rich, and large, developments in psychological. Most of the heroes of Stranger Things are archetypes, or variations on archetypes, and in the background, it suits us very well as it.
But who says new season, says automatically new characters. Those of season 2 had known, for the most part, mark the spirits and if we should logically find them in season 3 (well, those that survived, right?), there is no doubt that the new episodes that will be aired in 2019 should allow us to get to know a bunch of new friends.
While the shooting of the series of the brothers Duffer is planned for this spring, here are that Hashtag Show has just unveiled the first trio of new faces with which we will have to live with these new adventures.

We will, therefore, make the acquaintance of the mayor Larry Kline. Between 40 and 60 years old, he is a politician, smooth, pathetic and not thinking of only his own interest. Then comes Bruce, a journalist aged man with questionable morality. Openly sexist, overweight, it is also eternally scruffy. Finally, there was Patricia Brown, a 70 year old woman, a nearby charming as all who maintains his garden and gives valuable advice to the children of the neighborhood.
Of course, no actor or actress has for the moment been officially attached to these roles and can be doubt that the production will want to involve a few well-known names, old glories of the 80’s for example. It will still have to wait a moment for more information but, more than ever, Stranger Things proves that it is a prestigious meeting of clichés. This is not necessarily an insult in the absolute, and not at all the case here.
