According to The Hollywood Reporter, if Warner likes Ben Affleck and what he brings to the character of Bruce Wayne, she would have in mind to find another interpreter. A source from the site said that the studios would try to push the actor towards the release slowly – but also respectfully – and justify the change in the future films of the DCEU. But for what purpose? In fact, we can imagine that the studios simply want to create a new franchise around the character of Batman. After all, did not Matt Reeves say that he had plans to make a trilogy on the vigilante of Gotham? Perhaps the studios find it more logical and prudent to find a younger actor who can physically keep the distance.
