Queen Elizabeth II is changing for the third season of The Crown.

While the fans of Stranger Things must surely wait until the summer of 2019, to discover the season 3 of the series-a phenomenon, it will have to wait a little less to discover that of The Crown. The royal collection still has no official release date but is expected to arrive in the end of the year, just like the first two seasons.

While waiting to learn more about the release date of this new season, the show is Netflix reveals its first image. A particular image as Queen Elizabeth II is changing for this season 3.

In fact, after exceptional performances from Claire Foy in the skin of the sovereign as british, it’s Olivia Colman (expected in other queen in The Favourite) who takes over the role for seasons 3 and 4. Thus, one discovers the actress of Broadchurch in full breakfast and the representative of a Queen already more assertive than during the first two seasons.

Beyond the Queen, and the other roles in the historical will also be interpreted by new actors. Exit Matt Smith, and Vanessa Kirby, among others, to be replaced by Tobias Menzies (new Philip Mountbatten) and Helena Bonham Carter (new Margaret of the United Kingdom).

Always chaperoned by Peter Morgan, the season 3 has therefore not yet date of official release but we are waiting on a firm footing.
