The life of a tv series, this is not always a part of the fun. Take American Gods, for example. While everything seemed to be going well, the show has taken many barriers and unexpected that nearly cost him his very, very expensive.

Last November, American Gods fell on a big tile since its show runners, Bryan Fuller and Michael Green, claquaient the door when the season 2 began its preparation. It was then the turn of Gillian Anderson from the beginning of January, plunging the series into a sacred mist. Since, it was a bit of the unknown about its future. We had been told that Neil Gaiman, the author of the original novel, was to take over the position of showrunner, but this seemed complicated since it now occupies the same position on the series Of Good Omens , and that he has not the gift of ubiquity.

Fortunately, the old gods seem to again mild with the series since Neil Gaiman has just announced himself on the microphone in the Hollywood Reporter that a new showrunner had been chosen in the person of Jesse Alexander. Not a beginner since it is a long time collaborator of Bryan Fuller, who worked on the show Hannibal and Star Trek Discovery :

“I am delighted that Jesse is the showrunner. He loves and understands the book, just as he loves and understands the tv series. And he is dedicated to make the next seasons of American Gods as good and beautiful they may be. The journey of Shadow is going to take him, him, Mr. Wednesday, the new and the old gods, in places, very strange. And I am proud that we, the team and the cast, have Jesse to show us the way.”

And everything seems to finally arrange for American Gods and could not be more thrilled as this series we had typed it in the eye. Remains only to take his evil in patience until the release of the highly anticipated season 2.
