The First : the SF series from the creator of House of Cards boards Sean Penn on Mars in its first teaser captivating

The creator of House of Cards has left the White House to take us away on the red Planet.

Beau Willimon is a master-piece of the current strength of Netflix on the global market. In 2012, he created the series House of Cards , and launches a sustainable platform for streaming on-the-ground series, and original creations, thanks to the massive success of her show. However, after season 4, Netflix has thanked in circumstances that are more or less doubtful.

A departure that has enabled the playwright, screenwriter and producer embark on a new project : The First. A series that will tell the first steps of the colonization, interplanetary, and in particular of the first human mission on Mars. This show of science fiction broadcasted by Hulu, a direct competitor of Netflix is powered by The Handmaid”s Tale, has unveiled a first teaser typing.

Through these first images, The First is positioned blithely at the head of the series not to be missed in the next school year. While we could expect a spectacular series on the conquest of Mars, it is a tone quite different from offers this first teaser in compiling the plans of the Earth, the universe, and generally of all traces of life on our blue Planet.

Led by Sean Penn and Natascha McElhone, the creation of Beau Willimon will be in effect much more than a simple series of science-fiction, since it focuses on the points of view of the astronauts in the mission, but also their families and the teams remained on Earth. The First announcement so the color with its images very air, contemplative (think Terrence Malick) and accompanied by a music absorbing. The first-fruits, no doubt, one series that is captivating, human and moving.

Achieved in part by the Franco-Turkish Deniz Gamze Ergüven (Mustang, Kings), Agnieszka Holland and Daniel Sackheim (The Americans, The Leftovers), The First will arrive on Hulu on the 14th of September next.
