The Fox and actor Donald Glover drop out of the animated series Deadpool
Deadpool 2 arrives on our screens on may 30 next and he intends to, at a minimum, to reiterate the huge cardboard of the first film. We will probably forget about the failure that will follow.
If the first Deadpool was a surprise success in cinemas, thereby opening the way for films of super-heroes classified R (for the adults), the Fox has not taken a long time to capitalize on this financial success. With the implementation of a suite, of course, the planning of a possible expanded universe, but also an animated series that should see the light of day this year.
Unlike the movies, the hero of psychosis should not be played by Ryan Reynolds but by Donald Glover, who, in the company of his brother Stephen, also provided the position of showrunner. This is the studio Floyd County, in charge of the series Archer , which was to carry the set, for a broadcast on the channel FX.
Unfortunately, we learn, via Variety, that this beautiful project will not see the light of day because the series Deadpool comes to be purely and simply abandoned by its creators and by the chain :
Donald Glover in Solo : A Star Wars Story
“As a result of the dispute, creative, FX, Donald Glover, Stephen Glover and Marvel have decided not to proceed with the creation of the series Deadpool. FX will no longer be involved in the project. The chain and Marvel, however, remain united on other projects, like the series, Legion, which should continue.”
Of course, the real reasons for this separation surprise will probably never be known, and it still remains a small mystery in this case. FX out of touch, it is not known if Marvel and Donald Glover remain committed to the project and if they plan to go to other channels. You would instinctively go to see the side of Netflix, but given that the relationship between the network and the studio are no longer in good shape, it seems unlikely. After, obviously the series Deadpool had not really started its manufacturing since it was not officially entered into production, and no script would not have been made. In short, it feels a little fir tree, which, as they say.
Go, hi !
