Tesla is still far from undermining the delivery of its first truck, semi-trailer, but she is working hard to make it happen.

At least, a user was surprised to see a Semi in development on the roads of Santa Clara, in the heart of Silicon Valley.

Without a hitch, you can see the truck fully electric Tesla accelerate to a speed rather unusual for a vehicle of this size.

During the presentation of the Semi, the CEO of Tesla, Elon Musk, had assured that the truck could accelerate from 0 to 96 km/h in just 5 seconds. Even with a loaded trailer on the back, Musk assured that his Semi will accelerate faster than a truck powered diesel without a hitch.

Promised by Tesla to 2019, the Semi should offer a range of 483 kilometres. Its starting price has been set at US$ 150,000, equivalent to about 185 000$ CAD.

For US$ 30,000 extra, a version with extended range will also be available. It could travel up to 800 kilometres before requiring a recharge.
