The Guardians of Galaxy 2: Pom Klementieff “Mantis is a very different female character”

A new character enters the Galaxy Guardians team: Mantis. And we had the chance to interview the actress who embodies it, Pom Klementieff.

The latter is embodied by the French actress Pom Klementieff and we had the chance to interview her a few weeks ago during her visit to Paris to double her own voice in French! Between two scenes, the actress has entrusted us a little more about her character: “My character arrives at the same time as Kurt Russell and we meet the Guardians of the Galaxy. She is quite innocent, she discovers things for the first time and she has a strangeness a bit. She is not in the habit of being with other human beings. And so she’s a little weird, she does not know how to behave . ”
And indeed, you will see it when you discover it in the film, Mantis is very special! But she is also very engaging and very funny. It was his difference that attracted Pom Klementieff. “She’s an interesting female character because she’s different, she’s a little strange. In Marvel movies or such, often the female characters are strong, sexy, sure of themselves and she is a little beside the plate and I find it interesting to show it, to show another Facette, ” she said. And if Mantis is a very strange character, it has not been difficult for Pom Klementieff to slip into his skin, since she confesses to look like him a lot. “I’m kind of an alien too, sometimes. And then I think I have a weird side too , “she said. In any case, Mantis is worth the trip and we were delighted to learn that she would be back in The Avengers 3: Infinity War , although the actress can not say anything about Mantis’s role in this whole plot.
