The Guardians of Galaxy 2: Zoe Saldana “Gamora would love to kill Tony Stark”

Cinema 28 April, 2017

Zoe Saldana is back in the skin of Gamora and we met her for an exclusive interview on the occasion of the exit of the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2.
Zoe Saldana is an actress who is on all fronts! Whether starring in the Star Trek , Avatar or Guardian of the Galaxy franchise, she is always able to give her characters an irresistible side. While yesterday we unveiled our exclusive interview of Chris Pratt aka Star Lord for the release of the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 , we also had the chance to meet the one that gave life to Gamora in the dark rooms. So, what changes for the best ally of Star Lord in this new adventure? The actress tells us everything and even confesses what she expects from the meeting between Gamora and the Avengers … Iron Man is going to be happy!
Melty -The first movie was a huge success, was it easier or more stressful to turn the second?
Zoe Saldana – At first, just before I started, I thought it was going to be more stressful because the sequel is always a bit complicated, but when I found the whole team and saw that James Gunn Was perfectly relaxed, everything was simpler.
What is the biggest change for Gamora in this new chapter?
In the first film she fled her past, it was her priority, she thought only of herself. In this film, it’s almost a new person, she found a family and she no longer seeks to escape, she wants to stay. She takes herself a little for the group’s mom, she’s there so that everyone stays focused, that they remember that they do not do everything for money, but because it’s the right thing to do . She supports them and she loves to hate them because she remains Gamora, she will never be the most playful girl in the universe!
There is a very important scene between Gamora and Nebula, in which we learn a little more about their past. Gamora looks much less traumatized than her sister and yet they have had the same youth. Why ?
I think they have two different ways of expressing their suffering. If Gamora is the least funny Guardian and she smiles so little, it’s because she does not allow herself to relax because of what she has experienced. Nebula is much more unstable because she has great difficulty in assuming her dark side and managing her more sentimental, more gentle side. Gamora made peace with that and she’s on the road to redemption, she feels really guilty for what she did, when she killed for Thanos, she tries to redeem herself.
There is a lot of teasing about the relationship between Gamora and Star Lord …
Yes it’s very French!
Will Gamora confess his feelings to him one day?
Yes I’m sure, Star Lord is really her weak point and she likes it very much, but it will not be for now. But Peter Quill is not so different from Gamora, he hides behind his humor and actions to not reveal what he feels, he is also very vulnerable. (Possible to cut 3.20 after vulnerable soul up to 3.38) So their story really depends on both of them, not just Gamora.
You’re going to be in Avengers Infinity War and you know you have nothing to say, but knowing the personality of Gamora and those of the Avengers, who do you think she’s going to fight with? Have fun or the most respect?
I think she would get along very well with Captain America, Thor or the Hulk and I think she’d love to kill Tony Stark.
Who would make the most of it?
I think she would keep making fun of Rocket or Tony Stark!
