Saturday, August 19th, the Association of Electric Vehicles Quebec (the AVÉQ) organized the first Festival 100% electric at la Tohu.

Crowned with success, this event has smashed the record for the most number of electric vehicles together. In 2015, Stéphane Pascalon of the Institute of innovative vehicle had managed to gather 247. This time, the AVÉQ has raised the bar to 297 100% electric vehicles. It is, however, a total of 381 vehicles (electric and hybrid pluggable) are presented.

On-site, a wide variety of green vehicles were assembled :
Mitsubishi i-MiEV, Kia Soul EV, Hyundai Ioniq, Chevrolet Volt,
Tesla Model S and Model X, Volkswagen e-Golf, Nissan Leaf, Focus Eectrique, Chevrolet Spark EV, Audi A3 e-tron, etc, With the aim to introduce the electric car to the general public, this event can boast of having allowed 500 test cars, bikes and mopeds.

Lectures, demonstrations of an artist, a painter, a performance of Cirque Carpe Diem, in addition to a yoga workshop, everything has been implemented to appeal to the whole family.

Among the dignitaries present at the festival, let’s note the passing of Mr. David Heurtel, Mna for Viau and minister of sustainable Development, the Environment and the Fight against climate change.
