The movie The Lost City of Z, starring Robert Pattinson and Charlie Hunnam , is out today in the dark theaters and you can already prepare for an extraordinary and touching adventure. Inspired by the true story of Percival Fawcett, the plot takes us back to England in the 1900s as part of the world still remains a big mystery. A man, Percy Fawcett, is entrusted with the mission of exploring the border between Bolivia and Brazil, in the midst of the Amazonian Jungle, a territory known to be hostile and has cost the lives of many explorers. Having left to map the place, he will find traces of an ancient civilization and he will then give himself a mission: to discover more about this unexplored place.
The Lost City of Z, of which two unpublished excerpts were unveiled recently , is a film about discovery, open-mindedness and perseverance. We discover a man and his teammates ready to do anything to discover a world of which they are ignorant without sacrificing everything in their passage. Percy Fawcett wanted to discover a civilization without judgment, showing an openness rather rare for the time. A passion that will cost him a lot, to him and his family. They faced many dangers for a truth they ultimately did not find, but their story gives a successful and moving film with an end that will give rise to much discussion.
