After the return of the droid assassin IG-88, another droid of the old epoch will makes its return in the event series.
If it is difficult to know when Disney+ will land on our screens, it is almost impossible to predict the arrival of The Mandalorian. One thing is for sure : the series is not noise in the hallway, she is beautiful and good in production.
The first image was presented in early October in the casting that magnifies your eyes through the announcement of the return of the droid IG-88 (one of the droids assassins and hunters of the Galactic Empire), The Mandalorian unfolds a little more each week. And in fact, its showrunner Jon Favreau has revealed in a post to Instagram thata droid from Star Wars Episode IV : A new hope could just as well make his return.

The photo does not long, but it remémorera certainly memories of the first Star Wars to the biggest fans, when on Tatooine, the Jawas had tried to sell the droids to Owen Lars, but that he had had self-sabotaged to allow R2-D2 to be swept up in his place and fulfill his mission to rebel.
The Mandalorian takes place many years after Star Wars Episode IV : A new hope , since the series plant his set between Star Wars Episode VI : Return of The Jedi and Star Wars : The Awakening of the Force. Then, the return of R5-D4 is necessarily a nod to the original works, but it may be more, perhaps even as its services for rebel will be put in the spotlight.
In the meantime, Star Wars Episode IX could well land on the big screen before the series. It will be released on December 18.
