A new player makes its entry in Formula E for the season 2018-2019 : BMW.
After being involved intensely since the launch of the Power supplying the safety car (BMW i8) and medical cars (BMW i3), now the bavarian manufacturer made the big jump.
In fact, BMW will be in charge of the engines, electrical course, for the stable Audretti Autosport.
As is also the case for other manufacturers, the participation of BMW in this race series will serve as a laboratory in the development of new technologies.
This announcement comes shortly after Audi has also made its entry as an official manufacturer in Formula E. For its part, Mercedes-Benz has also hinted at its interest to participate in the ePrix. The competition will be increasingly fierce.
For the uninitiated, it is a series of races during which 20 cars fully electric clash. Inaugurated in 2014 in Beijing, Formula E is governed by the International Automobile Federation (FIA). On 29th and 30th July next, it will be the turn of Montreal to host its first ever ePrix.
