Automakers Toyota and Mazda will jointly invest$ 1.6 billion US in the establishment of a new factory in the United States.
According to information reported by Automotive News, the plant will be located on-street in Huntsville, northern Alabama. We intend to produce 300 000 vehicles per year, enough to create up to 4000 jobs in the region.

It will be a first factory in North America for Mazda, which currently imports all the vehicles it sells on the continent. According to Automotive News, the manufacturer intends to manufacture small SUV on the assembly lines in this plant, alongside the next generation of the Toyota Corolla.
On January 5, 2017, Donald Trump had just written on Twitter a text asking Toyota not to move the manufacture of its Corolla in Mexico, ensuring that the taxes at the border were going to be salty if this was the case.
