The future is green and that, even Porsche is aware of this. In fact, the automaker from Stuttgart says that it intends to offer possibly a version plug-in hybrid of its 911. After I said yes, and then, not and not have much hesitation, it seems, this time, be well party.

In an interview with Automotive News, Oliver Blume, CEO of Porsche, said that the project for the development of this model was to be formalized shortly. According to him, this is just a matter of paperwork.

By 2019, Porsche will launch a new generation of the 911. It is expected that the version plug-in hybrid will be presented to half of the mandate, which takes us to 2023 approx. It’ll have to be patient, we’ll grant you that. At Porsche, it was in my mind already the planning of the space which must be devoted to batteries.

Although it is still far from the marketing, at Porsche, we aim for an autonomy of approximately 70 km in mode 100% electric.

Recall that at the present time, Porsche has already made some steps in the right direction. In the current catalog include a Panamera E-Hybrid, and a Cayenne E-Hybrid.
