Now you know, if DC is trying to catch up to his return to Marvel in the cinema and we all hope that Aquaman is a resounding success, television, things are a little different, since, there, rather, it is he who opens the way.

And with its proposed streaming service exclusively dedicated to its heroes, DC Universe, the studio risk of hitting a great shot in 2019 in the small world of television. Of course, the series DC, there are already full, and mainly on CW, but now we can expect a new set of productions ranging from the very exciting, Swamp Thing, to the intriguing, Doom Patrol. And then, in between the two, there are the Titans.

Robin, basic

It doesn’t mean that it doesn’t hurt to see the Teen Titans in a series of live, but we need to admit that the first trailer released was not the most reassuring. Between a Raven that resembles nothing, a dark world that is, frankly, toc and Brenton Thwaites in Robin that is more reminiscent of Orelsan more than the famous justiciar, there is clearly what to shiver.

While the series is scheduled to begin its broadcast on the platform in 2019, Geoff Johns, the ex-honcho of DC Films again simple writer and producer, took the microphone from CBR to teach us that the series would deal a major moment in the career of Robin hood, namely the separation with Batman, an event that we have never seen in a live program so far, while stating that the trailer released was not representative of what will be the series final :

Raven, apparently

“It is very controversial ! And I think that is what was expected. I don’t think anyone has been surprised. As I say to people, it is not necessary to take this trailer as what the entire series will look like. But I am glad that this debate, and there will also be discussions on the direction that we are going to take and why Robin will come to this point. A large part of the series that we are exploring is the separation between Robin and Batman.

In the Titans, he was a character a little lost. He wondered what he would do next, and the Titans, taken individually, were equally lost, so that they form a family, a family of adoption. In a sense, we remain faithful to what the artists Marv Wolfman and George Perez. But you’re going to see what Robin has gone through and why he arrived at this point. And I’m very keen that people can see that. I don’t think that they imagine really what series they will be right and it will be very cool to see their reactions.

Johns actually get on the sauce as he can, well aware thatit is imperative that the Titans stands out from other series to have a chance to exist on the length. And if, indeed, what one has already seen is not representative of the rest, our interest would clearly come back. Especially with a Robin chafouin destined to become Nightwing.
