The Terror was one of the great successes of the AMC in 2018. Success the cable channel intends to reiterate.

The Terror would have logically had to stop after his first season. Adapting the novel of the same name and the brilliant Dan Simmons, the plot had reached its conclusion at the end of its 10 episodes. But the success of public and criticism encountered by this careful production and the brunette has without a doubt given the continuation in the ideas to AMC officials.

This is what one understands by reading the statements of David Madden, head of programming of the company.

Tobias Menzies

“The Terror has given us the opportunity to offer a unique approach to the format is anthological. We liked the idea of using a historical fact, and to graft an ingredient in supernatural and horror. And we are immensely proud of the combination of ambition film and intimist work on the characters.

We are delighted to announce a second season, which dramatisera the most terrifying and important events of the Twentieth century, guided by the original vision of Alexander Woo and Max Borenstein. “

Jared Harris

More specifically, the season 2 of The Terror should focus on one of the darkest periods of american history, during the Second world War. While the conflict between Japan and the United States draw, they have decided to gather a massive nationals of japanese origin, officially to guard against the risk of treason and espionage. In fact, the setting up of camps was the opportunity for many members of the administration to engage in a policy of illegal expropriation, purchasing, and then reselling juicy of well, land or real estate.

What is the relationship with the horror fantasy of The Terror ? No, but I bet that AMC will add a bit of fantasy to all this and will know how to weave some artificial ties. It is not yet known if AMC account to renew the casting, where assisted Jared Harris and Tobias Menzies, but this seems unlikely, given the theme selected.

And if you are looking for other dramas on the same subject, it is recommended that the terrible Perfidia James Ellroy.

We expect to continue to an excellent atmosphere
