The series the Terror, chronicling the mysterious story of the Franklin expedition lost in the Arctic, has unveiled its trailer.

There is not that the scandals repeating All the Money in The World in the news of Ridley Scott. This in effect produces a series of anguish for the channel AMC (The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, Mad Men…) that will retrace the fascinating history of a marine adventure in the Nineteenth century that, without spoiler, has quite wrong. The Franklin expedition had the goal of mapping the polar seas to the North of the american continent, but it ended up turning into a fiasco total.

This historical fact, little known and mysterious has been very fertile for the imagination, since all its ins and outs have not been explained, and probably never will be. The novel Terror by Dan Simmons (author of Hyperion) has been shot, combine real facts, scientific hypotheses, and appeal to fantasy to fill the holes. Then the novel has brought to the series, The Terror, of which here is the trailer… very blue, a few weeks after a teaser enticing.

The Terror, of the name of one of the two ships of the expedition, the HMS Terror, promises a story of survival, of anguish, that we wish to more intelligently treaty, the final episodes of The Walking Dead. If you do not have to fear self-censorship has been sanitized on the part of the chain of the AMC (who has never been afraid of the tripaille) it is hoped, nevertheless, that you will not be entitled to treatment “(50 minutes) of vacuum for 30 seconds of action and a cliffhanger typical of the series of zombies. But hey, with Ridley Scott, it should go right ?

As for the casting, we find a familiar face who has watched Mad Men or Game Of Thrones : Jared Harris, Tobias Menzies and Ciarán Hinds, among others. The Terror will be comprised of 10 one-hour episodes. The pilot will be aired on AMC on march 26, and we are waiting on a firm footing.
