Quebecers who have reserved a Tesla Model 3 will have to wait several months before receiving their car. Except that in California, some customers have already received their copy.

One of them, You You Xue, one of the lucky ones. And scarcely has he received his Model 3 that he has left the sun of the West coast to undertake a long journey across the United States and Canada.

After having crossed the continent to the East, Xue and his car crossed the canadian border a few days ago. His Model 3 is thus became one of the first to set foot on the soil of quebec.

It only took a few minutes for this adventurer of modern times to get acquainted with our beautiful quebec roads!

After a small tour in Lévis, the Californian has taken the route to Montreal, where he is arrested at Montreal Auto Prix to an interview of twenty minutes with the former Minister Daniel Breton.

“I knew I was going to receive a Model 3 before a lot of people and I said to myself that before this car becomes too common, why not make my experience more unique?”, says the young man, adding that he has travelled this route in 11 days.

Despite autonomy’s usual 500 miles, You You Xue was quickly realized that the canadian cold has an influence quite radical effect on the performance of his new car. “At -20 degrees, it is about 60% of it. Even in a bad day, we can do more than 250 kilometers”, he explains.

It should be noted that the Model 3 of You You Xue is equipped with a battery of 75 kWh and it cost him more than 63 000 US$. It is so far from the basic model announced at 35,000 US$.

Still equipped with the tires at the four seasons at the time of the interview, Xue confessed that he was not convinced that this car is made for road conditions in Quebec, explaining that the absence of a train in full was definitely a problem.

The next day, however, the traveller is to install winter tires on his car, and his opinion seems to have changed…

Now in Ontario, You You Xue continues his journey by returning to the West. It will cross the United States by Michigan and will return to Canada in a few days to visit Vancouver.

He intends to then return to California prior to ship its Model 3 in Hawaii. Then, if all goes as planned, You You Xue wants to even take his car to England to continue his journey on the european continent.
